Table Tennis

Since 2023 we have held a table tennis tournament in the second term. There is a boys’ and girls’ tournament for children in 5th and 6th classes.

In 2025 over 90 children took part in the tournament and matches were held over lunch breaks. A group of 6th class pupils are given the responsibility to set up the table each lunchtime and operate the score board during the games.

It’s a knockout tournament and if you lose you’re out. The winning boy, Peter Doyle this year won six matches on the trot to lift the trophy and Emilia Gornicz won five games to lift the girls’ trophy.
