Scoil Mhuire is a busy Catholic co-educational primary school in Lucan, west Dublin, very close to the River Liffey and the border with Co. Kildare.
We cater for pupils from the local area from Junior Infants to 6th class. There are two classes at every level and some levels have three. We also have two classes for autistic children.
Our pupil numbers fluctuate around 490. We have 29 teaching staff, 12 SNA’s, a secretary and caretaker.
We also have an energetic and committed Parents’ Association who meet every month and organise a lot of events and activities throughout the school year.
We pride ourselves in being open and inclusive and all of our staff do their best so the children can be their best.
We also put an emphasis on sport, music and drama in Scoil Mhuire. We give the children a chance to experience a broad range of sports, play music and perform.
We have a Catholic ethos and this ethos permeates throughout the school instilling in the children a respect for God, themselves and others, no matter what your background or where you’re from.
