As part of our green schools commitments and to help reduce traffic volumes in the area Scoil Mhuire is restarting WOW (Walk on Wednesday). We are encouraging as many people as possible to walk to and from school every Wednesday from now until the end of the year. To facilitate this we will have our ‘Walking Trains’ – to allow the children to walk in groups accompanied by adults – leaving again from Spar, Tesco and Weston.

If you live too far from the school why not avail of our ‘Park & Stride’ option by driving to Tesco or Spar, parking and then joining the walking train for the rest of the journey.

It’s a wonderful initiative that helps the environment, our neighbours and provides your children with valuable exercise. So remember WOW and Walk on Wednesdays
