Mr. Roche’s 5th class are currently learning about World War 1. They were asked to create the front page of a newspaper concerning some aspect of the early part of the war. Most in the class choose to cover the defining moment of early 1914 – the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand by Gavrilio Prinicp – a moment that started the dominoes falling and set the stage for Europe (and subsequently the world) taking up arms. All the children are now hard at work on their World War 1 projects where they are focussing on a specific aspect of the war that has grabbed their attention. Some of those projects will be shared online in a couple of weeks!
These newspapers were created using Comic Life 3 on the Macbooks and iPads. Click on the picture to see the newspaper in it’s full size.
