The children have been busy taking part in extra-curricular activities in Scoil Mhuire so far this school year. Before Christmas girls and boys took part in gaelic football and indoor soccer.

Our boys junior gaelic football team had a great year! They won the majority of their matches and there were plenty of new faces which was great to see. Our senior boys team reached the semi-final and our girls went a step further playing in the final in Croke Park. Unfortunately they were beaten but they definitively did the school proud!

The indoor football was a great success again this year with over 60 boys and girls from 5^th and 6^th class taking part. The eventual winners were Sophie Rankin, Adam Harrington, Leah Capcarrere, Cian Moran and Sophie Maycock. Well done to all involved.

At the moment the hurlers and camogie players are training ahead of their cumann na mbunscol competitions, the fifth and sixth class children are involved in table tennis during lunchtime on Friday in the new hall and Ms. De Róiste and Ms. Nugent are training the cross country team for their upcoming races.
