Scoil Mhuire 5-9
Scoil Lorcáin 2-11

As the scoreline success this was a full-on, high tempo game which kept the spectators on the edge of their seats (if they had one !) right to the end. Playing with the aid of a strong breeze, Scoil Mhuire started off brightly, and Charlie Keher and Brendan Ruddy repeated their scoring feats of Tuesday with some sweet points. The Palmerstown boys kept in touch with some breakaway points of their own but just before half time, captain and birthday boy Jack Butler burst through for a great goal to give his team a half time cushion. Palmerstown came out fighting in the second half but Lucan hit them with some devastating goals on the break.Eoin Griffin and Conall Chambers put the finishing touches to some lovely moves and Kingsley Okakpu tapped over a point after a defence splitting run and it looked like game over.
Scoil Lorcáin however hadn’t read the script and they proceeded to claw back the lead. Only for some outstanding defence by Cian Hyland, Ben O Toole and man of the match, Phillip Kane, the result could have been different.
Next up is an away fixture v Clonburris in Clondalkin next Thursday.
