Having lost narrowly to our neighbours in the Lucan Sarsfields blitz, Scoil Mhuire once again put it up to our parish rivals in Griffeen Park in the league. It looked bad after ten minutes as Scoil Aine piled on some early scores but two quick goals, created by Charlie Keher (one from a penalty) and finished by Ryan Fowler brought Scoil Mhuire back into it and rattled their opponents. Scoil Aine started the second half very strongly and pulled away with a couple of early scores. Scoil Mhuire fought back bravely but some fantastic saves by the Scoil Aine keeper kept them out.
In a performance full of determination, Scoil Mhuire’s best were Eoghan Gately, Jack Colgan, Liam Masterson, Ryan Fowler and Super-sub John Mc Carthy.
Next up is another Griffeen Park fixture v Clonburris from Clondalkin.
