The Scoil Mhuire TV section of our website were recently awarded third place at the Edublog Awards 2013 for ‘Best Use of Video and Media in Education’. The Edublog awards are recognised internationally and they celebrated their tenth anniversary this year.

We were nominated for this prestigious award by St. Peter’s Primary School, Bray (who won an award themselves for ‘Best Podcast or Hangout’). St. Peter’s believed we deserved special mention for our “excellent animations and wonderful Lockout film!”. We were then deemed good enough by the judges to be included as a finalist. Our category was won by South Orange Middle School, New Jersey, USA for their virtual debates.

This award is testament to the great work of our teachers and students who so far have produced over 100 videos for our channel that have amassed over 16,000 views (over 1,250 views in the last month!)
