Last week in Scoil Mhuire there were loads of activities going on for Science Week. Here is a selection of some of the weird and wonderful happenings.

The children made lava lamps in Mr Egan’s 3rd class.
In Ms Whittle’s 2nd class they made catapults.
Rani in 2nd class made a lego model of the historic occasion when Isaac Newton discovered the law of gravity while sitting under an apple tree.
Ms McStay’s 4th class looked at samples of wool, dog hair, bone of a mammal and shrimp eggs under a microscope.
Zoe in 3rd class did an experiment at home where she used red cabbage to check for acidity.
Ms McStay’s class were dying with red cabbage and lemon juice.
