It’s that time of the year again when the boys and girls from 3rd to 6th class do battle to see who will be lucky enough to represent Scoil Mhuire in the annual Santry Sports.
This year’s sports takes place on Thursday May 31st. School will actually be closed on that day because of the referendum, but we will, of course be sending a team of approximately 40 athletes to Santry to run in our National Stadium.
Trials for Santry will be held next week (someday between 30th April and 4th May). Hopefully the weather will improve by then.
So all boys and girls who fancy themselves as Usain Bolts or Dervla O’Rourkes, get training and cut out the junk food.
Mr. Egan reckons lots of homework is very good preparation for running so be warned !
