For the first time in Scoil Mhuire’s history we are taking part in the National Children’s Choir. The NCC was established in 1985 and since then approximately 100,000 children have sung as part of NCC events. The National Children’s Choir is a non-competitive event and aims to foster a love of singing and improve the musicality of those taking part.
The main Dublin event will be held in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght on Thursday 30th March. 50 schools from all across Dublin will be taking part and singing together to create a beautiful sound. Tickets for this fantastic event are available from the school office.
The children have been practising really hard and have been learning to sing different choral lines. They have practised on their own and with other schools. Click on the link below to listen to a snippet of yesterday’s joint practice with St. Louisa’s, Ballyfermot and St. Mary’s BNS, Lucan.
