Silent ‘w’
1. The little boy wriggled while the nurse wrapped a bandage around his wrist.
2. The wreath was sent to the wrong church.
3. The wren flew into the garden at the wrong time and had to be rescued.
Silent ‘b’
4. The plumber hurt his wrist and his thumb because of faulty equipment.
5. I have no doubt but that he will pay his debt in the shortest possible time.
The unfortunate man lost a limb when the bomb exploded.

4. Ní raibh sé leadránach. (wasn’t boring)
5. Tá aon teifíseán amhán againn sa bhaile. (We have one tv at home)
6. Is fearr liom cartún ná clár dúlra. (I prefer cartoons to nature prog.)
