Our junior hurlers picked up their first win of the campaign on Tuesday against local rivals Divine Mercy SNS. The lads showed great character to bounce back from last weeks’ defeat to Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada and really put on a show.
It was also fantastic to see hurling back on the school pitch and a healthy crowd gathered to watch. Those in attendance were really treated to an exhibition of hurling from both teams but Scoil Mhuire showed a bit more composure in front of goal to take the points.
The lads are improving every week and I would just encourage them to practise for 20 minutes every day after school.
