Scoil Mhuire 1-1 Gaelscoil Chluain Dolcain 2-1 (6/10/2015)

The score line doesn’t tell the real story of this game as it was an absolute cracker. Both teams put everything on the line and showed great bravery throughout. The Clondalkin outfit were definitely the better side in the first half but Scoil Mhuire defended excellently and weathered the storm to keep the score line at 2-1 to no score at the interval. The Lucan lads got a foothold in the second half and started to threaten up front. Fionn Buckley kicked a fine free to get Scoil Mhuire off the mark and left two goals between the sides. It was end to end stuff and both defences were on top. Buckley added a goal to his and Scoil Mhuire’s tally which led to a tense final few minutes but unfortunately Scoil Mhuire couldn’t find the equaliser.
Mr. Kirwan and Mr. Neylon were really impressed with the boys’ spirit and never say die attitude. Well done to new squad members Conor Carroll and Jamie Hoey who really impressed. Best on the day were Aryan Rawat, Daniel Kane, Robert Keher and Fionn Buckley.

Training Friday at break time.
