Last week we celebrated inter-cultural week. The children all got to engage in different activities over the course of the week.
On Monday the junior infants got to grips with chopsticks.
On Tuesday the senior classes got to enjoy the beautiful voice of Fr. Marino.
On Wednesday senior infants – 3rd class were taught songs in Afrikaans by Ms. Clark and 4th class linked up with Langley Moor Primary School via Skype to find out what it is like to go to school in Durham U.K.
Thursday was our tasting and traditional dress day. Some of the children wore beautiful traditional dress and all of the children got to taste foods from all over the world which was kindly prepared by the parents.
On Friday Mr. Roche’s 3rd class performed an Italian song, a Malaysian tune and a Filipino dance for a variety of classes.
Many thanks to everyone who got involved and made the week a special occasion for the children.
