Our senior hurlers flew the flag proudly in Lucan sarsfields last Tuesday, when they finished joint winners of the “B” section. After three hard fought matches against St Mary’s. Lucan Educate Together and Scoil Aine, we finished second in the group behind a very strong St Mary’s team. In the final Scoil Mhuire came from 9 points down to draw level , and were very unlucky not to win out in the end. Heroes for Scoil Mhuire were Keeper, Luke Finnerty, Cian O’Sullivan, Jack Butler, Eoin Gormley and, Captain Fantastic, Eoghan Gately. Kingsley Okakpu and Adam Stanford chipped in with a couple of vital goals in the final. Mr. and Mrs. Gately provided the players with some well earned refreshments . They were like a team which hadn’t eaten for a week.
