The students and staff of Scoil Mhuire were treated to a visit from Grand Slam winning captain Fiona Coughlan when she brought the cup to the school.
A sea of green greeted Fiona as she walked out onto the yard. Luckily the rain stayed away as Fiona spoke to the students, answered their questions and listened to a Scoil Mhuire rendition of Ireland’s Call. Many couldn’t believe how long Fiona had been playing for Ireland before she won a major trophy. It just goes to show that with hard work and determination, dreams really can come true.
The students and staff of Scoil Mhuire would like to thank Fiona most sincerely for taking time out of her busy schedule to come visit us. We really appreciated it.
