The Girls team had their first match of the year on Wednesday. The team travelled to St Mark’s Tallaght and put on a fantastic display to win 4:12 to 0:02. The girls started strong and Brooke Lamphiere led the way with some fantastic scores. From early on it was clear Scoil Mhuire were the dominant force. Our half back Erin Cooper and full back Ellen Eakins minded house as St mark’s struggled to score. The O’Connor sisters, Caoimhe and Sarah fought fearlessly until the end. Seven players scored on the day showing the teams collective scoring strength. The girls put on a fantastic performance and are hoping to top this performance again next week when they meet Clonburris national School from Clondalkin on home soil.
