Our girls’ team were knocked out of their shield competition at the quarter final stage but they didn’t go down without a fight against a physically stronger Corduff team in Lucan Sarsfields on Wednesday. The girls were under pressure for much of the match but they defended heroically and Ms Lowry was very proud of their performance . Isabella Fay and Rebecca Byrne were magnificent as they repeatedly cleared attack after attack.

All the girls deserve great credit for the way they performed during the games and for their enthusiasm in training .

Everybody in Scoil Mhuire is very proud of them.
