Unfortunately the time has come to bid a fond farewell to our chicks who have made Scoil Mhuire their home for the past few weeks. They joined us as eggs and hatched out in an incubator in Room 24. Since then they have grown stronger and braver and are ready to fly the nest!

A special thanks must go to Ben and his father Martin for providing us with the eggs and for taking care of them since they hatched. Martin has been in the school every morning and afternoon to clean out their water, replenish their food and make sure they’re ok.

All the classes in the school have been down to visit them on a number of occasions and everybody has been able to keep up with their goings on through Scoil Mhuire TV – Live! If you haven’t yet seen them online this is your last chance as at half two tomorrow our webcam will be switched off and our chicks will move on.
