Each family in the school should receive a postcard from their child in the next week. The postcard is part of a campaign by the National Primary Education Alliance to stop any cuts to Primary Education in this year’s Budget, which will be unveiled in October.
The National Primary Education Alliance is a body which comprises all the partners at Primary level, including schools, management, parents ’associations, the INTO, and school patrons.
The key message from the Alliance is that primary school children shouldn’t pay for the current economic crisis in this country.
We are asking parents to send on the postcard to one of your local representatives in Dáil Éireann.
The TDs for this area are Frances Fitzgerald, Joanna Tuffy, Robert Dowds and Derek Keating.
