After many, many, many years Scoil Mhuire has begun to say goodbye to its prefabs. After years of scorching heat in the summer, ice cold toes in the winter and (to be fair) plenty of great memories, all the children of Scoil Mhuire are now in the main school building.
Refurbishment works on the old building are entering their final phase and enough classrooms have been opened up to accommodate the four classes that were still in the prefabs at the start of the academic year. It is hoped that the small extension to the old building and the work on the yard areas will be finished early in the new year and the school fully complete!
For now, have a look at the prefabs on their final journey. Footage of the prefabs being removed is also featured in September’s Scoil Mhuire News.
