Dear parents,

While we still encourage your child to walk all / some of the way to school, we understand that there will be some occasions when it will be necessary for you to drop your child by car.

To that end we now have a new system for ‘dropping off’ children, which we will trial tomorrow, Friday, March 21.

The system is based on the idea that parents will not park their car in the school grounds, but ‘drop and go’ using the ‘drive through’ system.

This system works as follows;

• You enter by the gate opposite Lucan Utd’s pitches and take an immediate right, but please be aware of children entering the school grounds via the wheel chair ramp
• There is a set down area on your left, and another two of these set down areas are around the corner, also on the left.
• Your child should get out of your car onto the footpath beside the building.
• You can then pull out and exit the school grounds by the other car park gate
• Please note that you just use the set down areas to pull in, and not the diagonal parking spaces – cars reversing out of the spaces will cause congestion.
• The system will be in operation from just after 8.30am
