Excitement is building as the new camogie/hurling season draws near. Only two weeks to go to our camogie team’s first match under new management. After getting over the shock of Mr Ellis’ sacking, the girls have put in a great effort under the new management team of Ms Ryan and Ms Lowry. They have been training in the hall on Tuesdays and have been strengthened by the addition of some 4th class girls.
Scoil Mhuire’s opponents in the group stages are all local teams-St John the Evangelist, Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada and first up we have Lucan Educate Together. This game is scheduled for Wednesday 20th Feb at a Lucan venue.
Our senior hurlers face a tricky trip to Clondalkin to play Gaelscoil Chluain Dolcáin in their opening fixture. With a good few team members still available from last year’s apperarance in Croker, hopes are high for a good season and a good start would be ideal .

Anybody taking part may wear a tracksuit in on Friday. Change of footwear must be worn, preferably boots.
The senior team will be made up mainly of boys from 5th and 6th but there will be space for some 4th class boys as well. Anybody who has his own hurley and helmet should bring them in.
