Scoil Mhuire Airlie Heights Woodview 1-0 St Patrick’s Diswellstown 4-2

St Patrick’s girls produced a well-rounded performance against Scoil Mhuire to seal victory in this Corn Nua Final on Monday afternoon in Croke Park.

The girls from Diswellstown played exceptionally well and Scoil Mhuire were just unlucky to run into such a strong team on the day.

The old adage, goals win games, was to the fore in this match as the St Patrick’s girls just had that bit more of a clinical touch in front of the posts.

The girls from Diswellstown got off to a flying start with some early scores and led at the break, 2-1 to 0-0.

Scoil Mhuire got an early goal in the second half to haul themselves back into contention but St Patrick’s were in no mood to relinquish their lead as the stormed towards victory with another unanswered 2-1.

Each and every girl gave it their all and can be very proud of their efforts.
