St. Ciarán’s, Hartstown – 3
Scoil Mhuire, Woodview – 3
On the fifth of April, 2017 the Scoil Mhuire boys took on St Ciaráns in Hartstown Park. At the start of the game St. Ciaráns put serious pressure on Scoil Mhuire who played some great counter attacking football. Against the run of play Aryan Rawat played a brilliant ball to Alex Turley who fed Titas Dubinskas and he smashed it into top corner.
St. Ciaráns were on top again after this and only for our keeper Darlington Odia they would have been out of sight. St. Ciaráns did score two goals before half time however which meant Ciaráns led 2-1 at the break.
In the second half Scoil Mhuire turned the tables and put pressure on St Ciaráns with direct play. Titas Dubinskas took at free kick just outside the box which the keeper parried to Alex Turley who finished sweetly to level the game at 2-2.
Scoil Mhuire’s defence were doing all they could but unfortunately they conceded a goal with ten minutes to go. It looked like they were going to concede again but Darlington made a wonder save to keep us in the game. With five minutes to go Alex Turley scored his second goal from close range to level things up again. Scoil Mhuire nearly scored a late, late winner but in the end the lads were happy with a draw.
Well done to all involved.
