Well done and the best of luck to Lucan Sarsfields senior football team who have qualified for the division 2 play off final after beating Ballinteer St Johns in the semi final today. In the final they will meet Skerries Harps and if they win they will be plating division 1 football next year.

Six past pupils of Scoil Mhuire are in the squad. Ciaran Mc Hugh, David Mescall and the quartet of Gallagher brothers, Dan, Dermot , Brendan and Conor. Dan Gallagher was the first captain of Scoil Mhuire to lead a football team out in Croke Park back in 1994.

Well done also to Dunboyne ladies gaelic football team who have qualified for the All Ireland final on Saturday week. This is Sharon Tobin’s (one of our SNAs) team and we congratulate them on this wonderful achievement. Sharon’s daughter Katie is on the Dunboyne squad. Yesterday they beat Moycullen from Galway in the semi final and in the final they will meet Bantry Blues from Cork. We wish them the very best of luck.
