In November the Parents’ Association asked if we could distribute envelopes to all the families in the school to make anonymous contributions to charity. This would be in place of the annual appeal for non perishable foods for the homeless in Lucan. When committee members came in to count the money last week they were shocked at the response. A massive €3,000 was raised by you all. Well done to all the families in Scoil Mhuire on this amazing achievement. The Parents’ Association have decided to divide this between the Lucan Homeless Appeal run by Bernadette Fagan and the local St Vincent de Paul. In the pictures you can see the vouchers purchased by the Parents’ Association for the Lucan Homeless Appeal and Xanthe McCormick (PA Chairperson) presenting a cheque for €1,500 to Breffney Grealy and Kieran McBride of St Vincent de Paul based here in Esker Parish.
