Ms Lowry, Mr Roche and Mr Ellis would like to put on record, our appreciation to all the parents who helped out in transporting the children to and from their Gaelic football matches.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the past four or five weeks, a convoy of cars pulled up outside the school at 2. 20 , ready to ferry the children to their matches.
We understand that due to different work and family circumstances, not every parent was in a position to help out.The kindness of those who brought other peoples’ children to matches, and then dropped them back home, was very much appreciated and certainly not taken for granted.
Your midweek afternoons will be freed up for the moment…. until hurling starts in March !
Footnote: A special word of thanks to Charlie Keher’s mam, Katie, for helping Mr Ellis to move the juvenile posts into position for the boys’ quarter final game.
