25 boys represented Scoil Mhuire in the Lucan Sarsfields blitz on Friday 19th April.
The matches were 11 a side so we fielded a first half and second half team to ensure everyone was involved.
We had a mixture of experienced hurlers who have honed their skills with Sarsfields, and some boys who were taking up hurling for the first time.
In 3 cracking group matches we faced Scoil Áine, Lucan Educate Together and St Marys.
We drew one and lost the other two narrowly.
This qualified us for the D final where we had another close game with Archbishop Ryan. Scoil Mhuire came out on top in the end but the main thing was a great day was had by all.
From 4th class, Charlie Casely, Aaron Meaney, Brendan Ruddy, Stephen McInerney, Robert Hazely and Glen Conroy were excellent.
Our third class heroes were Diarmuid Keher, Alex Hickey and Conor Cooper.
Well done to all the boys who took part and to their parents for the great support.
