Scoil Mhuire Development Squad 58

No, this was not a basketball match! It was a cracking game of gaelic football between the two third class teams of Scoil Mhuire and Scoil Áine. Scores were awarded for catches, blocks and , of course, goals and points. The result was not important but there were some fantastic performances on display from both sides. Scoil Mhuire fielded a different team in each half and both teams played their hearts out.

In a great team performance, the following players stood out: Benjamin Ubaekwe , for his huge kick outs; Nathan Weafer McGovern for his sterling defence; Evan Colgan and Daniel Nulty for their scoring prowess;Dylan Rankin for his clever passing; Eoghan Daly for his driving clearances; Anthony Nkosi for his speed and skill; Luke Cahill for his drive and determination; Reece Lamphiere for his strength and bravery; Joey O Sullivan for his non-stop action style  and Evan Wynne for his devastating sidestep and his super shots which, unluckily, whizzed past the posts.

There will be another fixture against Scoil Aine on a date to be decided.
