Camogie is back and is open to girls from 4th to 6th class. Afterschool training is planned for Mondays 2.30pm to 3.30pm for the foreseeable future.
Any lunchtime training will be advised in advance.
The following are the dates of camogie matches.
- March 27th V Griffeen Valley ET in Scoil Mhuire @ 3.00pm
- April 3rd V Divine Mercy in Scoil Mhuire @ 3.00pm
- April 10th V Caisleán Nua AWAY. We will leave Scoil Mhuire @ 2.20pm.
We will require parents to provide lifts to matches. If you cannot bring your daughter to matches please organise with a fellow parent/guardian to bring your daughter. Each child travelling in a car to a match must be wearing a seat belt.
The school has a limited supply of hurleys and helmets that can be borrowed by those who do not have their own. However, for matches, your daughter will need their own white shorts with maroon stripe, maroon socks with white stripe and boots -if they have them, runners are ok too.
On training/match days please ensure that your daughter has sufficient lunch to eat, water to drink, a jacket/jumper on cold days, change of socks etc if the weather turns wet.
If your daughter is planning on participating in camogie training, please put a note in her journal on Monday giving your permission for her to stay until 3.30pm. Also please state whether your daughter will be collected from the yard or can walk home by herself. I cannot permit anyone to stay for training with out a note.
Yours in sport,
Mairéad Ryan
