Dear parents,
thank you for the great response yesterday. The school grounds were safe for the children to come into school this morning. But our clearances yesterday resulted in 2 large mounds of snow in the school yard. Mother Nature is working at a very slow rate at melting these mounds, resulting in the yard being out of bounds for the two breaks, possibly up until the end of the week.
Having spoken with Noel, the caretaker, we believe our only course of action is to move the snow from these 2 mounds to the perimeter. To do this, we need volunteers with shovels and wheel barrows. If you are available tomorrow from 9.30 for an hour or so, that would be fantastic. And if you live within walking distance and have a wheel barrow, can you please bring this with you.
I appreciate that most of you will be back to work this week, but if we even got a quarter of the response that we got yesterday, we would get the job done quickly.
Thanks,
John Egan
