March 2015 Newsletter

March sees the start of the hurling and camogie leagues. Our girls were narrowly beaten by Lucan Educate Together in their first match, and the boys took part in the Lucan Sarsfields blitz.
Our runners were involved in the 2nd series of cross country races, and fared very well, but in the process were drenched with very inclement weather. Hopefully in April the weather might be kinder to them!
Our two 4th classes travelled to Dublinia where they learned about Viking and Medieval Dublin.
Seachtain na Gaeilge saw Irish culture at its best with 2 Céilís, a Trath na gCeist and 2 Ceolchoirm. And thank you to Patsy Toland for his annual visit and providing the music for the senior Céilí.
Congratulations to the boys and girls of 6th class who were confirmed on March 6th. Best of luck to the children in 2nd class who this week received their First Penance.
Thanks to our Parents Association for donating 3 dozen Easter Eggs to be raffled this Friday. And the Cinema Club is back in action this week with 2 films being shown on Friday night.
And finally, congratulations to Ms Ryan who recently won St Mary’s RFC Strictly competition with the Tipperary tango!!

Upcoming days off; Monday May 4th, Tuesday May 5th, Friday May 22nd, Monday June 1st and Tuesday June 2nd

Happy Easter to you all. Enjoy the break, and we will see you for the last term on Monday, April 13th.
