Tuesday was International ‘Safer Internet Day’. A number of lessons and events took place in various classrooms in the school to both mark the day and to make children more aware of their rights and responsibilities with regard to Internet use.

Webwise.ie have made a number of resources available to parents to help improve their understanding of safe internet use. They are available from the http://www.webwise.ie and they include this e-Safety Kit (http://www.webwise.ie/parents/family-e-safety-kit/). They are easy to use and to understand and our worth while checking out.

  1. Hello there ,

I saw that you mentioned webwise.ie/ here scoilmhuire.ie/index.php/internet-safety-day/ and I wanted to share my gratitude concerning your work on promoting online child safety.

I want to suggest you share an important guide which came out last week. I found it was very thorough on child safety online:
    https://www.vpnmentor.com/blog/the-ultimate-parent-guide-for-child-internet/

I liked the way they summarized each section with actionable items for the parent/teacher.

Once again, thanks for helping protect our kids,
    Jane
