Well done to our senior hurlers who made it two wins from two with a hard fought 3-9 to 2-2 win over a battling Sruleen team. A very tight pitch didn’t suit the Lucan boys and they held a narrow four point lead at half time . However a much improved second half display saw Scoil Mhuire increase their advantage by the end. Charlie Keher was very accurate from placed balls and Phillip Kane was his usual rock solid self. Mark Gormley was excellent in goal while James Kebana was the hardest worker on the field setting Seán Egan up for a couple of poacher’s goals. Aaron Meaney was also to the fore. This win sets up a very tasty local derby after Easter against Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada. We have now qualified for the quarter finals but a win against our local rivals will ensure a more favourable draw in the knock out stages.

Well done to four of our pupils who made the Lucan Sarsfields juvenile all-stars this week. Robert Hazely, Mark Gormley and Eoin Mahony are on our senior hurling team .Seán Treanor from 2nd class is a star of the future.
