Scoil Mhuire had a very successful week last week winning four out of four matches. The senior boys started off the week in style beating Gaelscoil Naomh Padraig 8-8 to 3-4 in Airlie Heights. Stand out players on the day were Calum Byrne, Lee Hollowed, Gallas Kebana, Matthew O’Reilly and Harry Watkins.

The boys continued their one hundred per cent record for the season in Palmerstown on Thursday with a convincing win over Scoil Lorcáin. This win ensured that we topped the group. Best on the day were Liam Dunphy, Alex Turley, Darlington Odia, Sam Kennedy and Adam McNulty. Best of luck to the boys in Friday’s blitz in Lucan Sarsfield’s which begins at 1pm.

Our girls’ team also had a great win over St. Mark’s last Wednesday which secured second place in the group. This was a well fought win against tough opposition and the management team of Ms. Lowry and Ms. Scally have been really impressed with the improvement the girls have made since the first game. Stand out players on the day were Ellen Eakins, Lara O’Reilly, Grace Dunphy, Sophie Rankin, Aoife Murtagh, Niamh Roche and Tegan Kelleher.

Our junior boys’ team picked up their first win of the campaign with a four point win over Scoil Chrónáin in Scoil Mhuire last Tuesday. Mr. Ryan was delighted with how the lads performed and said that they are improving with every training session. Those who impressed were Joey Lovett, Adam and Jamie Harrington, JP O’Connor, Charlie Blake. Man of the match was Adam McNulty who scored four goals. Well done to all involved!
